The Almaty Cup was held on the slopes in two disciplines – slalom and giant slalom. More than 100 young athletes took part. The bulk of the participants were representatives of the Ski Team Oi-Qaragai and Shymbulak Ski and Sports Club. The number of participants has significantly increased this year. Two athletes arrived from Russia to participate in the start. Oi-Qaragai makes a great focus on the development of the younger generation. Such kind of starts excite an enthusiasm for sports, active recreation, and most importantly, we lay the groundwork in young athletes for the path into adult sports life — to starts at the international level. Regardless of the demonstrated result each participant was charged with bright emotions and a good mood during these two days.
In the most difficult and spectacular giant slalom discipline Yekaterina Udovenko became the winner among girls in the 2014 category, Aileen Buzha took the 2nd place and Mariya Gutsel took the 3d place.
Alexandra Kikina demonstrated the best result among girls in the 2016 category, Alexandra Stukalina and Veronika Mikhailova took the 2nd and 3d places respectively.
Skiers 2012-2013 performed no less effectively, but the victory went to Ksenia Pastukhova, the time difference between the second and third is only 20 hundredths. Rimma Samodelkina – 2nd and Valeriya Dubovitskaya – 3d result.
In the category among 2010-2011, the winner was Kseniya Trosenko, the 2nd place went to Melis Mominova. 2008-2009 category skiers confidently held the track and demonstrated a good time. Liya Em – 1st place, Mariya Gaigorodova – 2nd place and Alena Son demonstrated – 3d result.
2014-2015 age group boys demonstrated excellent results. The best result is achived by Aldiyar Bisenbayev. The time difference between the 2nd and 3d place is only 1.22. Eldar Fazilov finished second, and Ignat Kuleshov – third.
In the category older than 2016, Yevgeny Lyssak was the best. Usman Kenzhetayev took the 2nd place, and Stanislav Shishlyannikov finished 3d.
2012-2013 category skiers showed excellent results. Bogdan Gvozdetsky – 1st place, Tair Usmanov – 2nd place and Arseny Shaposhnikov – 3d place.
The best time in the 2010-2011 category was shown by: Eldar Bagdashkin – 1st place, Denis Shevchenko – 2nd place and Kirill Bushuev – 3d place.
The middle 2008 -2009 group performed no less effectively, the victory went to Platon Chiarchidi, the 2nd place was taken by Shyngys Amangeldy, the 3d result was demonstrated by Rafael Sibgatulin.
