The first finalist from Almaty: the brand chef of Oi-Qaragai reached the final of the “Battle of the Chefs” show!
Ivan Turganov, the brand chef of the Oi-Qaragai Mountain Resort, became the first participant from Almaty to reach the final of the “Battle of the Chefs” culinary show on the Friday! TV channel.
In the fifth season of the project, Ivan joined Renat Agzamov’s team and steadily reached the final, becoming the real pride of Kazakh gastronomy.
“There were no difficulties, in fact, everything turned out to be quite simple. The only thing that was a little confusing is an enormous number of cameras. It was my first experience of participating in a TV show, and it turned out to be very intense: I learned a lot of new things, met interesting people. There was a lot of excitement, but also a lot of anticipation.
It was an important personal experience for me and a step in a new way. Participation in the show was not only development, but also brought recognition and popularity,” Ivan shared his impressions.
Ivan is a professional chef with 13 years of experience in cooking. He specializes in European and Pan-Asian cuisine. He is a member of the Guild of Chefs of Kazakhstan, the winner of the second place at the international Chefs’ Meeting in 2024 and has many more achievements in his field of activity.
