The visit of the Great Patriotic War’s veterans to the Oi-Qaragai Resort
The beloved Oi-Qaragai Resort welcomed veterans of the Great Patriotic War and homefront workers of Almaty showing best honor and respect. There were 9 people among the arrivals, one of the oldest was Margarita Ivanovna Shestakova. She turned 94 at the beginning of the year. She taught Russian language and literature to children in wartime.
To ensure that veterans can feel themselves comfortable and enjoy the beauty of the Resort, we have prepared electric cars for them. They visited the Place of Power and specifically noted the purity and lightness of the air. The walk was followed by lunch in our family cafe. The songs of the past brought their memories back and they shared the hardships they went through during the war.

Despite such an old age, there were spouses among the veterans: Ilya Grigoryevich Kudin was born in 1927 and Valentina Viktorovna Kuznetsova was born in 1935. “While I was defending the front, my wife helped me in the rear,” noted Ilya Grigorievich.
We sincerely and with deepest respect welcome veterans, homefront workers, participants and children of the war to express appreciation and thanks for the peaceful sky above our heads. Over the years, not everyone is able to come, but we do not forget them and afford assistance.
