Aport Coaster is an alpine coaster - a special sled for high-speed downhill rides that moves along a rail track following the natural mountain terrain. Essentially, it is something between sledding and a roller coaster, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h.
The total length of the track is 990 meters, making Aport Coaster one of the longest alpine coasters in Kazakhstan.
The monorail sled was developed by the Austrian company Sunkid, a world leader in creating year-round entertainment for the whole family, with more than 9,000 projects worldwide.
Aport Coaster features:
- Safety comes first: the sleds have a handbrake to adjust the speed. Special grips hold the cart on the track, while the passenger does not exert any effort.
- Weight limit: the maximum weight per pair of sleds should not exceed 120 kg, which ensures reliable operation and a comfortable descent.
- Age restrictions: children 3-8 years old can only ride accompanied by an adult.
- Descent time: about 3 minutes.
The starting and finishing platforms are located in the lower part of the Oi-Qaragai Resort, near the Aport-Alatau restaurant. After an exciting descent, you can walk around the territory, ride the cable car to the upper part of the Resort and enjoy the beauty of the mountains from the observation deck at an altitude of 1,820 meters above sea level.
The Aport Coaster is one of the most popular mountain coaster rides near Almaty, Kazakhstan - a must-try for the whole family, all year round.
